Do you have any question?
What is a hybrid bookstore?
A bookstore that is a mix of new and used books. For the Reader also uses two incredible companies: Bookshop.org and Libro.FM! They provide access to many, many more titles than I can provide, ebooks, and audiobooks!
Do you carry both new and used books?
The fun part of being hybrid is we have both! You can order new books through Bookshop.org or purchase a “used” book from For the Reader directly, where it will be mailed out with love from Sarah (these titles are primarily collectors editions!)
Where do your books come from?
Two options: either my house where I have the titles in stock or from a book distributors!
What does “Print on Demand” mean?
“Print on Demand” or POD means that title is being printed just for you! This is very common with indie books. Currently For the Reader does not have any POD titles!
How can I contact you with questions or recommendations?
Send me an email or use the contact me form in the About section. I can 100% help you pick out a book.
What does it mean when a book is backordered or out of print?
That simply means the warehouse does not have the title in stock and are waiting for more copies to arrive. Out of print means that title is no longer being printed and can only be purchased as a used copy - this happens with older books!
Do you sell audiobooks or eBooks?
Yes! With Libro.fm and Bookshop.org.
How long will it take to receive my order?
That depends on where you live and where you purchased the book. If from For the Reader directly I will try and have the book in the mail with USPS within 24 hours. Bookshop.org has their own shipping policies.
